Capgrass Records, a new label headquartered in two Florida cities, prides itself on “contributing to a safer, saner, and more enlightened world through morally responsible music.” For the company’s CEO, Dr. Ronald Jay Cohen, that’s more than just another altruistic corporate mission statement. Dr. Cohen, a dual-board certified and Florida-licensed psychologist, firmly believes that popular music can not only be helpful in swaying public opinion, but it can help guide individual behavior. And it is his hope that the song entitled, “Stop!” recorded in both an English- and Spanish-language version by the artist known as Cecil Deesill, will help curb the record number of physical attacks against police officers of late. ”Stop!” debuts on Spotify, Apple Music, and other major music outlets on May 15th. Just a couple of weeks earlier, Capgrass recording sensation Belinda Belle released her catchy and original country song, “Ten Core Beliefs.” Dr. Cohen also views that song as “most consistent with the Capgrass mission becauseit focuses attention on personal and cultural values. Both “Stop!” and “Ten Core Beliefs” will be available for download in a binaural or Dolby Atmosversion on the CapgrassRecords.com website, which at this writing was still under construction.
