During the month and year of 12-2021 renaissanceman and Artist Jah Lightah has released his new project Let’s Go. Inspired by today’s popular phrase Let’s Go Brandon.The Artist is currently contemplating biding farewell to the music industry.
Jah Lightah aka Rouff Draff has been in the industry over twenty years. While it has been a fun journey, the Artist has suffered tremendously after printing CD’s became a thing of the past. Dealing with these digital distributors and their fraction of a cent games doesn’t work well for Jah Lightah because he spends good money on his music and his career as an Independent Artist.
After Releasing three Albums through a digital platform, despite years of hard work the Artist was only able to make a few thousand dollars leasing his music. This appeared odd because his digital distribution back office would reflect thousands of streams yet the Artist was never paid.Instead his views and his plays were skewed. So this prompted the Artist to put his music on free and smaller platforms until he figures out how he can continue to provide quality content for his fans and followers and not go broke while doing so.
Over all the Artist has no regrets. His music is positive and clean. He is happy he made the choice of making good quality music for him and fans to enjoy. Some days him and those close to him would just relax and listen to his laid backelectrifying, energetic flow all day.
Currently the Artist wishes to take a shot at working with other young Artist and producer. He is always present when his music is mixed or mastered so he can have his creative input from start to finish. He also shoots and edit his videos by himself or with an experienced editor. His latest video was shot and edited with his S-10 droid phone, done as a sample video showcasing his video directing, shooting and editing capabilities. Jah Lightah is open to work with any Artist interested in borrowings his creative eye for shooting videos or ears for engineering music.
